    Description

    Direct nursing care to residents and supervise daily nursing activities by nursing assistants in accordance with standards and regulations.

    Ensure the highest quality care is maintained consistently.

    Description:

    • Direct daily functions of nursing assistants following rules and guidelines.
    • Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shifts' services, programs, and activities.
    • Complete recordkeeping forms upon admission, transfer, and discharge of residents.
    • Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
    • Participate in facility surveys conducted by authorized government agencies.
    • Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feedings, and more.
    • Collect samples for testing and perform routine laboratory tests.
    • Provide health care instruction to patients and family members.

    Qualifications:

    • Must possess a Nursing Degree or be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
    • Current, unencumbered LPN license to practice.
    • BLS/CPR and AED Program Certification required.
    • Knowledge and skills for age-related care needs.
    • Leadership, supervisory ability, and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to make independent decisions and handle difficult situations.
    • Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and meet job requirements.
