Summary:
This Clinical Therapist will provide psychosocial assessments for patient and their families. Provide individual and family therapy, cognitive supportive therapy and crisis intervention services. Triage services for further mental health interventions may be recommended and coordinated by this worker. The primary treatment group will include patients, families and/or their caregivers.
This position will serve as a liaison between the department of Psychiatry and other medical specialties to allow for continuity of care.
This full-time 32 hour a week Clinical Therapist position provides supportive counseling in our Neurology department primarily working with patients diagnosed with Migraines, Epilepsy, Functional Neurological Disorder (related anxiety and depression), and may expand to other neurological conditions and diagnosis as the role grows.
