- Prepare income tax work papers and returns for specified Ashley Company entities; ensure the correct amount of tax is paid throughout the year to avoid penalties and to minimize tax payments.
- Prepare sales and use tax work papers for specified Ashley Company entities to ensure the Sales Tax Accountant has accurate and timely data for preparation of the sales and use tax returns.
- Review sales and use tax returns to ensure accurate reporting.
- Gather information for any returns under audit and work with the auditors.
- Maintain the paperless document retention system.
- Prepare property tax returns for all of the Ashley facilities, including retail stores.
- Coordinate appeals of property tax assessments.
- Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience, Required
- 2 years' experience in an Accounting related position or internship, Required
- Prior tax research either from prior work experience or through education
- Sales tax preparation
