    Job Purpose

    The Senior Director of Medical Strategy & Capabilities is a key role in driving the strategic direction and execution of transformation and organizational capability building initiatives across US Medical Affairs. This role will work closely with senior leaders, and TA/functional teams to design, implement, and monitor transformation and organizational capability building programs that increase US Medical Affairs organizational capabilities, transform ways of working, drive organizational effectiveness, enhance customer experience, and establish US Medical Affairs as a best-in-industry organization in a rapidly evolving pharmaceutical landscape. The Senior Director of Medical Strategy and Capabilities will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead and manage the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of transformation and organizational capability building initiatives that advance US Medical Affairs ability to deliver on our ambitions and the Medical Affairs Value Proposition.

    * Partner with the Medical Affairs Leadership team to identify and assess the current and future needs and gaps in organizational strategic capabilities (roles, skills, processes, behaviors, tools, etc).

    * Lead the development and execution of strategic capability building initiatives that address the needs and challenges of the organization and support the USMA's growth and transformation agenda.

    * Oversee the development and implementation of frameworks, methodologies, tools, and best practices that transform ways of working, increase organizational impact, or enhance customer experience

    * Partner closely with the US Digital, Data, and Technology team; US Medical Analytics, US Medical Operations, and other enabling functions to identify and embed solutions that support transformational priorities or accelerate progress.

    * Drive organizational change by effectively communicating the vision for transformation, engaging stakeholders, and building a culture of innovation and agility. Develop and implement change management plans to support adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.

    * Monitor and measure the impact and effectiveness of transformation and organizational capability building initiatives, drive accountability for results, and provide regular feedback and reporting to senior leaders and relevant stakeholders.

    * Build and maintain a network of internal and external partners and experts to leverage best practices, insights, and resources for organizational capability building.

    * Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning across the organization. Encourage experimentation, feedback, and knowledge sharing to drive innovation and drive ongoing transformational change.

    * Hire, manage, and lead a small team to support design and execution of strategic and capability initiatives.

    * 8+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical Industry with specific experience in Transformation and Strategy work

    * Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate to diverse audiences.

    * Proven ability to interpret customer needs as well as negotiation and influence skills

    * Ability to produce concise and simple summaries of concepts and solutions
