- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 7-9' experience or no degree and equivalent
- Must have experience with York and Carrier Air conditioning units 100 tons or more.
- Must have experience with auxiliary's equipment including HPAC, LPAC, Hydraulic Units and all types of
- EPA Universal Certificate is required
- Must be able to use electronic test equipment (i.e., multi-meter, o-scope) for troubleshooting.
- Must be able to work independent, completing onboard maintenance requirements.
- Must be able to read and understand EOSS procedures and troubleshoot electrical equipment to
- Must have experience and competence in US Navy Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
- Must be able to support overnight underway evolutions (includes regular housekeeping/cleaning).
- Must be able to take log readings and stand underway watches.
- Must have basic computer Microsoft Office skills (i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, data entry)
- Must be able to pass shipboard firefighting certification and serve on ship's Damage Control Fire Party.
- Have a valid driver's license with own transportation.
- Must have no criminal record and able to satisfactorily complete background check.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision, perform and complete tasks with limited guidance.
- Able to follow company policies and procedures.
- Able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed reports.
- Shipboard Fire Fighting Training
- Any Auxiliaries type "C" School
- Must be able to climb up and down the shipboard vertical ladders.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass Shipboard Fire Party School.
- Must be able to get underway to support mission operations.
