    Description

    SCOPE & AUTHORITY

    • The scope of work shall include all manufacturing areas of the Piney Flats site

    REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

    • The Position reports to the Shift Process Supervisor

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs a variety of Production operation tasks to produce battery separators that meet or exceed customer requirements.

    • Inspects, counts, and packs battery separators to meet or exceed customer requirements.

    • Remove separators from conveyor belt, culling out any defective materials.

    • Count separators, if required for ACE-SIL, place in cardboard sleeves, position cartons for packaging.

    • Places product that may be questionable for acceptance on hold and notifies supervision.

    • May rework separators that have been put on hold for acceptance.

    • Practices good housekeeping in the finishing area.

    • Cleans machine glue box after shift end.
    • Works safely and exhibits behaviors consistent with the Microporous core values including contributions to the ISO Quality program and Environmental Safety and Health Policy.

    • Operates tray maker to keep an adequate supply of material trays on-hand for product packaging.

    • Follows set process parameters and inspection criteria utilizing user guides to their fullest extent.
    • Will perform other duties as requested by Team Leaders and supervision.

    • Understand the importance of conformance to the environmental policy procedures and the requirements of the EMS.

    • Understand the environmental impacts associated with their work activities and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance.

    • Understand their role in achieving conformance with the environmental policy, relevant procedures, and the requirements of the EMS, including emergency preparedness and response

    • Understand the potential consequences of deviation from specified operating procedures.

    • Comply with all environmental, safety, and health rules, policies, and programs established by the company to the extent of training received.

    • Immediately, report any accidents and releases to the Supervisor

    • Recognize that adhering to job responsibilities and procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety is a condition of employment.

    Requirements

    Education and Experience

    High School Diploma. Previous manufacturing experience is desirable.

    Physical Requirements

    • Regularly required to stand for a period of time

    • Frequently moving about on the production floor; some pushing/pulling

    • Occasionally bending, reaching and twisting

    Salary Description

    $15.00 per hour
