    Description

    The Senior Designer for Activewear will lead the design and execution of all creative projects and will work closely with the President of the division to design and execute the vision of the brand.

    Fully responsible for entire product life cycle including trend research, inspiration, sketches, mock-ups, garment specs, specific details and fit.
    Deadline driven with excellent organizational and time management skills and able to multitask in fast paced environment.
    Expert in garment construction specific to Activewear category (garment fit, types of silhouettes etc.)

    Strong communication skills to collaborate and communicate internally with cross-functional teams:
    Design, Sales, Production, & Overseas.
    Ability to manage seasonal calendar, adhere to product development deadlines and key benchmark meetings.
    Designs a balanced collection appropriate to the demands of the business growth strategy.
    Must have strong knowledge and understanding of the Activewear/Sportswear Off-Price Market. TJMaxx and Costco experience a major plus
    Being accountable for sourcing incoming swatches/trims from the factories for seasonal fabric development.
    Assign Print and Color to style ensuring prints and patterns are balanced and look integrated across various silhouettes.
    Reviews all incoming samples to present at Finalization meetings; making sure submits are matching to standard and licensing agreement.
    Maintain a strong knowledge of trends, market demands, brand objectives and design aesthetic.
    Solution oriented with ability to anticipate problems, address issues, and resolve challenges in a timely manner.
    Maintains an organized design space (samples, files, visual CAD's etc.) so that information is readily accessible to teammates.
    Leadership/Teamwork
    Fosters a creative and positive teamwork environment with minimal supervision and high-level creative direction, can design into appropriate categories.
    Communicates effectively, seeks out other opinions, responds listens effectively to other's ideas and suggestions.
    Presents ideas effectively with clear focus and decision making.
    Ability to coach team members to attain higher levels of performance
