Technology is constantly changing and our adversaries are digitally exceeding law enforcement's ability to keep pace. Those charged with protecting the United States are not always able to access the evidence needed to prosecute crime and prevent terrorism. The Government has trusted in Peraton to provide the technical ability, tools, and resources to bring criminals to justice. In response to this challenge, Peraton is seeking aSenior Level Database Administrator with experience in designing and developing existing solutions within cloud infrastructure.

Description

Senior Level experience with SQL and PL/SQL and shell scripting to automate various database management processes, and monitor and troubleshoot database and infrastructure performance issues.
Develop, optimize, and tune stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries to support application development.
Provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting data into the database from sources such as file systems, and perform maintenance tasks, including tuning with various transition implementation strategies for in-house developed applications.
Resolve database issues related to data modeling, design, queries, security control, backup/restore, disaster recovery, and data import/export. Coordinate with data ingest efforts regarding database operations.
Experience with cloud-based databases, data storage solutions, and database migrations is a plus.
Conduct advanced activities such as load testing and response time testing, and provide ongoing reports to document overall system performance and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Interface with customers, users, and developers as needed to ensure smooth database operations and support.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
Minimum 3 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
3 to 5 years creating complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and reports using SQL
Ability to download data using Linux Bash command line scripts
Hands-on experience manipulating data in Oracle tables to create custom reports using Oracle Label Security
Good understanding of legal requirements for taints, purges, and how markings work--quick learner of complex business rules
Active TS/SCI clearance

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.All
