    Description

    City Cruises is looking for a Cook to join their Food and Beverage team in Chicago, IL.

    • Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices in food preparation and service areas
    • Provide exceptional service to coworkers and guests following our RESPECT service system
    • Prepare high-quality food based on prescribed recipes and production specifications
    • Receive and organize food orders for hot line, as well as arrange and garnish food for service
    • Store food and supplies properly, including stock rotation and temperature monitoring
    • Assist in cleaning the galley and sanitizing food preparation areas
    • Greet guests, describe dishes, and deliver food efficiently
    • Maintain buffet areas and supplies, stocking hot boxes, and completing maintenance checklists
    • Ensure safety and cleanliness in galley and service areas
    • Deliver hot and cold food items and assist in serving courses to guests
    • Adhere to scheduled work hours and appearance standards
    • Perform additional job duties as required
    • Requirements & Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Energetic and enthusiastic personality required
    • Ability to take direction and effectively communicate with coworkers and guests
    • Service-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist others
    • Capable of working for extended periods without sitting
    • Able to lift and move heavy items and work on holidays
    • Must meet minimum state age requirements
