- This position entails recruiting multiple RNs for the Community Living Center 3 at Central Iowa VA.
- A $7,500 recruitment incentive is offered for a two-year service commitment for highly qualified and eligible candidates.
- Basic Requirements:
- English Language Proficiency is mandatory.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school is necessary.
- Current and unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a US state or territory is required.
- Graduates of foreign nursing schools must possess full and active registration.
- Formal degree equivalency validation is a must for education beyond an associate degree.
- A GNT may be appointed temporarily for candidates pursuing licensure.
- Preferred Experience: Physical medicine and rehab Restorative rehab
- Grade Determinations: Candidates will be evaluated based on Scope, Education, and Dimension criteria to determine grade assignment.
- Reference: VA Regulations, VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G-6 Nurse Qualification Standard, accessible through the local Human Resources Office.
- Physical Requirements: A pre-employment examination or evaluation will be part of the onboarding process.
- Provides age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
- Educates older adults and families on health and treatment options.
- Coordinates care among caregivers and participates in quality improvement activities.
- Promotes a shared governance environment on the unit.
- Work Schedule: Night Shift - 7:30pm-8:00am(6) and 11:30am-8:00am (1)
