    Department Summary:
    MITRE's Nuclear Weapons and C2 Platforms Department is seeking an Associate Communications Engineer to provide expertise and support to the most critical challenges our sponsors and their missions face
    We provide technical guidance through rigorous modeling, simulation, and analytical methods to enhance program decision making and risk management
    Our main sponsors possess the policy, warfighting, organizational, and program responsibilities within the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise

    Job Description:

    • Understand our Air Force sponsors' communications and networking needs
    • Perform modeling, simulations, and analysis of communications and network systems
    • Contribute to technical product and assessments that ensure delivery of safe, reliable, and effective weapon system communications and networking capabilities Basic Qualifications: • Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience with a related Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar field
    • Significant college courses in digital and wireless communications
    • Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or STK
    • Desire to grow communications engineering technical expertise
    • Must be a U.S
    citizen with the ability to acquire and maintain a Top-Secret clearance

    This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site Preferred Qualifications:


    • Experience or training in communications system design and configuration
    • Experience with Riverbed Modeler, C++, and DevOps principals
    • U.S
    military, DoD civilian, or DoD contractor work experience.

    • DoD Top-Secret clearance
