The Production Engineering Technician is supporting manufacturing operations by performing equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and technical repairs across the production floor.This role is contributing to equipment uptime product quality and process reliability by collaborating with engineers technicians and crossfunctional teams. By developing specialized technical skills participating in continuous improvement initiatives the technician is strengthening operational efficiency ensuring smooth safe and highquality production performance.
This position involves assisting in maintaining plant production by performing repairs within scope of expertise interpreting following through on repair preventative maintenance tasks using safe work procedures learning identifying malfunctions repairing issues before catastrophic failure operating mediumsized manufacturing equipment such as laser welders PCbased systems robotic arms PCB testers collaborating supervisors process engineers peers technicians teamdriven environment performing crossfunctional duties manufacturing floor operational needs evolve troubleshooting optical electrical mechanical PCbased productions equiment maintaining equpment to ensure minimal downtime consistent operational performance conducting teardown suspect or defective products support failure analysis applying fine wire cable processing skills required soldering microelectronics fine wires recognizing printed circuit boards escalating appropriately participating rootcause analysis correctiveaction activities product failures improvements collecting data trends FPY metrics address recurring issue providing datadriven feedback leaders engineering teams assigned groups purchasing spare parts supplies maintain uninterrupted equipement uptim operating sense urgency fastpaced lean collaborative environment.
