    The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. They are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients using evidence-based practice, technology, and coordination with other healthcare professionals.

    Scope:

    The Telemetry unit is a specialized area within the hospital focused on caring for patients with heart-related conditions. This 36-bed unit serves as a step-down ICU and provides higher levels of care for patients who have undergone cardiac procedures or are experiencing cardiac issues. We cater to a diverse range of patients, including those with open heart surgery, heart failure, heart attacks, sepsis, cardiac arrhythmias, and respiratory failure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Patient Assessment:We operate in a fast-paced environment, providing an opportunity for extensive experience with complex patients.
    • Care Planning:The comradery among staff is exceptional, with close communication with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), doctors, and surgeons.
    • Implementation of Care:We utilize the nursing process, technology, and evidence-based practices to deliver therapeutic interventions.
    • Documentation:We use Epic for documentation.
    • Continuing Education:We offer monthly educational opportunities with surgeons and neurologists to enhance understanding of surgeries and specific diagnoses.

    The hourly rate for this position ranges from $36.35 to $54.53, dependent on experience.
