    Job Description

    (duties include but are not limited to):
    Works with and oversees Marketing Associate to ensure that all social media platforms are being regularly used with diverse mediums and content (Instagram Stories, Posts, and Reels / Facebook / Twitter / Other Social Media platforms depending)
    Maintains a Social Media planner and schedule to be utilized by General Manager and Marketing Associate.
    Works closely with the General Manager to brainstorm fresh advertising ideas and marketing strategies. Meets monthly to review monthly and seasonal marketing goals.
    Ensures that all large store announcements are communicated to the public effectively and in a timely manner (sales, closures, holidays, policy changes)
    Reviews current marketing campaigns for weakness and developing solutions within budget constraints.
    Facilitates and leads all marketing events hosted by The Hoarding Marmot (Trail Bingo, First Friday, Etc...)
    Presence at most major marketing events that The Hoarding Marmot attends (Ski Swaps, NSAA Annual Meeting and Expo, Solstice Tree Tour, and the like.
    Communicates and facilitates donations to organizations who reach out to The Hoarding Marmot.
    Works closely with the Business Development Manager to ensure that keystone items and areas of the store are being marketed as intended


    This may include:

    presence at events, donations, multi-media ads, integrating store programs into externally hosted events, and facilitating connections with the communities that we service.

    When not facilitating a marketing goal assumes the role of Sales Floor Associate and follows the direction of Sales Floor Supervisors and Sales Floor Manager.

    Required Qualifications
    3+ years of Retail experience or other relevant customer service experience
    Expert level proficiency using social media, primarily Facebook and Instagram
    Proficient with Google Workforce programs
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking with limited mistakes
    Full time flexible and consistent work schedule
    Prefered Qualifications
    Degree or other relevant experience in Marketing or Communications
    2+ years of previous experience in marketing, communications, or other relevant field
    Graphic design experience
    Experience using Meta Business Suite and Ads
    Experience with Google Ads
    Experience in outdoor recreation (Alpine/Nordic skiing, snowboarding, backcountry skiing, mountaineering, ice climbing, rock climbing, kayaking, packrafting, climbing, backpacking, etc...)
    Previous experience in supervisory role
    Excellent problem solving and communication skills
