    Description

    Apex Systems is seeking a Configuration and Data Management specialist to assist in the development of a new global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that will manage transmission of protected tactical waveform — a type of secure, anti-jam communication — over Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites and terminals.

    The successful candidate will drive the daily execution of product development in a fast paced agile environment. We seek candidates who have strong skills in agile methodologies, software development, test automation, and system automation.

    Technology areas these positions will be focused on are:


    • Support the baseband network element design, development, assembly, and test.
    • Support the development of terrestrial networks interfaces
    • Support Joint Hub End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) design, development and verification into the Data Centers.
    • Assist in providing a baseline for verification and formal acceptance
    • Support segment requirements Verification & Validation Responsibilities
    Defines, documents and interprets product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes.

    Develops, documents and implements plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.

    Tracks and reports data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; supports audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.

    Assists with development certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.

    Data Management responsibilities in short will include data identification, preparation, approval, control, customer and supplier submittal (CDRL / SDRL) providing metrics and archival.

    Software Configuration Management responsibilities in short will include representing CM in Change Control Boards, Perform Software Change Requests, tracking and reporting.

    Maintain various software libraries and databases, and perform Software Configuration Audits.
