About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Driver Supervisor to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
As a Driver Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
You will also be responsible for managing a team of drivers, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure their success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the transportation industry.
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience with electronic logging devices and transportation management systems.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the transportation department, including scheduling and dispatching drivers, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including driver logs, vehicle inspections, and maintenance records.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
Continuously evaluate and improve transportation processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Skills:
As a Class A CDL Driver Supervisor, you will utilize your strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills on a daily basis.
You will also need to have a deep understanding of DOT regulations and compliance requirements, as well as experience with transportation management systems.
Additionally, you will need to be able to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.Overall, this role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
