Location: 2470 Faraday Avenue Carlsbad CA 92010

Salary: $24.73 / hr

Schedule: Mon – Fri, 6AM – 2:30PM

18-month contract

If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute your skills and knowledge our client has an opportunity for a Reagent Formulations Associate Technician. This role is part of a formulation team responsible for the manufacturing of large volume reagents used in the medical diagnostics field. This role is also part of the Production Operations team and responsible for aqueous formulations.

· Formulate, fill, test, and package chemical and biological reagent products of varied complexity according to operational plans and customer demand.

· Complete reagent formulations including mixing, adjusting pH, testing on various equipment

· Adhere to SOPs, detailed processes, safety regulations, and contamination controls

· Support production teams across the site in addition to their primary team. This may include requests to work hours outside of the normal shift as necessary to support customer production demand

· Regular use of computers for routine tasks, data generation and analysis, time reporting, online training, email, etc.)

· Calibration and regular maintenance of instrumentation

QUALIFICATIONS

· Associates (AS) degree w/ 2-3 years industry experience

· OR Bachelors (BS) degree w/ 0-1 years industry experience

· Degree and Industry experience focus on chemical and/or biological sciences- Preferred

· Science knowledge of basic lab techniques - pH adjusting and buffer prep -Preferred

· 0-1 Years related experience in a GMP /GLP lab

· Willing to handle/work w/ hazardous chemicals while wearing appropriate PPE

· Team Player - ability to work equally well independently and as part of a team

· Basic computer skills (MS office, Outlook, timekeeping, etc.)

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs- A Plus

· Ability to stand for long periods of time – A Plus

· Previous experience and knowledge of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking – A Plus

· Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer

· The position is subject to passing a background check and drug screen

WORKING CONDITIONS: Our clients facilities are a heated, air-conditioned and humidity controlled production floor. They have several employee appreciation events throughout the year.
