    We strive to maintain a team-oriented environment, where operating room nurses can utilize their skills to provide exceptional surgical patient care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' needs and develop personalized care plans.
    • Surgical Environment: Ensure a sterile and safe environment for surgeries by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
    • Pre- and Post-Operative Education: Educate patients on surgical procedures, recovery processes, and any necessary post-operative instructions.
    • Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being during the surgical process.

    Unit Details:

    • Patient Population: Pediatric-Adult
    • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
    • Operating Rooms: 14 rooms with coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections
    • Types of Procedures: All surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology
    • Average Procedures per Day: 50

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 2 years of current OR experience
    • Orthopedic case experience required
    • Vascular case experience strongly suggested

    Certifications and Licenses:

    • BLS (AHA)
    • New York State License
