Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Required Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Required Field of Study
Business administration, finance or accounting.
Other Required Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years extensive purchasing management experience.
Required License/Certification
Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, finance, or accounting.
Preferred Type of Experience
Higher education, governmental procurement experience.
Experience with Florida College System purchasing practices.
Experience with Banner software.
Experience with Microsoft Office products. Intermediate level utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Experience with reviewing, updating, and creating policy in line with statutory requirements and best practices.
Experience working with large amounts of data and creating reporting to assess procurement activities and its effectiveness.
Preferred Licenses/Certification
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Public Purchasing Officer (CPPO), Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP), or similar certification.

General Working Conditions
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds.
