    Description


    Execute business marketing strategies, initiate contact with existing and potential customers, identify their needs and sell and manage ongoing services to meet those needs.

    Assist in developing and facilitating the proposal process for specific brokers/clients including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and client presentations.

    Create and build long term client relationships. Requires extensive out of town travel, including proposal presentations, workshops, and board meetings.


    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing/Sales, or other related discipline and five to seven (5-7) years of experience in Commercial Insurance business development and underwriting.

    Experience supporting the development of proposals to brokers/clients.


    SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:


    Responsible for developing and implementing individual marketing strategyManage and increase membership in assigned accountsResponsible for premium growth through existing renewals and new business developmentCall prospective customers, review and assess customer needs, and create a customer relationship.

    Establish and maintain on-going broker, vendor, and client relationshipsParticipate in on site visitsParticipate in board meetingsFacilitate, create, and conduct PowerPoint presentationsPrepare marketing information for customersFormulate price estimates and proposals with team members and functional groups using standard modelsEstablish budgetsResponsible for directing contractual negotiations and assisting/participating in the negotiations as necessaryResponsible for professional looking documentation, including board books, proposals, and submissionsTrack and report on the status of all proposalsCommunicate back to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations/proposals i.e.

    clear details, critical timeframes, and expectationsOversee activities needed to support each assigned captive teamActively participate in workshops and relationship building within assigned captive through interactions, structured activities, etc.

    Perform other related duties incidental to the work described hereinPRIORITIES:
    Captive Membership Growth, Customer Service/Relationships


    TRAVEL:
    Required, both domestically and internationally for this position. This includes compliance with all of the requirements of the localities and destinations, as well as transportation carrier requirements.


    SALARY:
    Starting at $125,000/year plus commission
