- The base teaching load is four courses/16 credits per semester. Courses may include in-person, hybrid, and/or online teaching modalities. There is a possibility for course load reduction to support the development of experiential learning infrastructure. Courses taught will be determined by the candidate's previous experience, expertise, and the school's needs. The ideal candidate would have experience teaching one or more of the following: Introduction to Hospitality Management Tourism: The Business of Hospitality and Travel Hospitality and Tourism Marketing Hospitality Practicum
- Developing the undergraduate hospitality program curriculum.
- Assisting with the generation and stewardship of business connections and partnerships in the field of hospitality and integrating innovative experiential learning experiences into the curriculum by way of internships/co-ops, etc. The position will work in close coordination with the Associate Vice President and Associate Dean of Career and Experiential Learning.
- Assisting with academic advising, acting as faculty advisor to the student club and conducting select service to the department, school, and College may also be responsibilities of the position.
- Fostering growth of the hospitality management program. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining a presence at admission events and internal activities intended to expose students to majors and minors available to them at the College.
- Interested applicants should have relevant teaching experience and a Master's degree or Ph.D. with substantive professional hospitality experience.
