The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated team player to join the Classification and Pay Unit (CPU).

    This position performs human resources duties in classification and pay (reviews hiring packages, out-of-class assignments, training and development assignments, retired annuitant appointments, determines appropriate class allocations, etc.).

    This position is one of the main contacts to Personnel Liaisons and managers in the Department's programs for all issues and questions that arise regarding hiring.

    The Classification and Pay Consultant also builds working relationships with staff in the Labor Relations and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office.

    Background Investigation Requirement

    The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation.
