    Description

    Prep School Biology Teacher

    Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School seeks a full-time Biology teacher to teach Biology and possibly an elective course.

    Responsibilities

    • Teach sections of Biology (9th grade level) and elective course (10th-12th).
    • Run engaging and well-managed lab activities.
    • Demonstrate scientific concepts through lectures, modeling, and the use of technology.
    • Manage the inventory of supplies and laboratory equipment and maintain a well-organized, clean workspace.
    • Provide meaningful, individualized feedback and support to students.
    • Work closely with colleagues, the department head, and prep school administration to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline. An education degree is preferred.
    • Run well-managed, meaningful, and engaging classes for high school students.
    • Experience teaching at the high school level is preferred.

    COMPENSATION

    The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $118,500. We offer exceptional benefits and a warm and supportive culture.
