    Description

    Overview:
    Provide Management Oversight for the Maintenance Department


    Reports to:
    Manufacturing Manager


    Specific Duties:
    Human Resources
    Manage workload/schedule for Maintenance Employees
    Enforce Safety Requirements within the facility
    Must follow and support all Food Safety Programs, Policies, and PPE as designated
    Conduct performance evaluations for Maintenance Employees
    Handle disciplinary issues with Maintenance Employees according to the Company's progressive discipline policy
    Administrative
    Research and purchase necessary supplies, equipment, and services for the Manufacturing Equipment, Maintenance Shop, Building, and Grounds
    Maintain the Maintenance Tracking Software Database
    Schedule and follow up on Preventative Maintenance activities
    Negotiate pricing for purchases
    Act as the primary interface with our equipment manufacturers for troubleshooting, parts ordering, equipment upgrades, and technical visits
    Serve as the Leader for equipment installations and modifications
    Maintain adequate spare parts inventories for critical parts
    Work Focus
    Flexible hours to accomplish required objectives
    Work on the floor with the other Maintenance employees to accomplish necessary objectives
    Regularly review progress with the Plant Manager
    Preserve the safety and integrity of the Company
    Lead employees toward continuous improvement in systems, equipment, and performance
    Implement cost containment initiatives
    Must follow and support all Food Safety Programs, Policies, and PPE as designated


    Other:
    Follow Daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping procedures
    Participate in the Safety Committee and lead Safety initiatives
    Perform all other duties as assigned by Manager


    Required Skills:
    Organized, detail oriented
    Good communication skills, both oral and written
    Knowledge of PLC logic
    Able to read schematics and blueprints
    Capable and Knowledgeable in 480v, 240v, and transformed 24v power
    Understanding of electrical panel and drive components
    A/C and D/C motor knowledge
    Understanding of gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings, and bearings
    Competent in Microsoft Office applications
    Able to fabricate and fix mechanical parts
