    Performs a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled tasks in the operations and maintenance of water distribution and treatment systems, and wastewater collection and treatment systems.

    Performs routine servicing and corrective maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
    Provides facility with clean working areas.
    Helps maintain inventories of cleaning supplies and paper products.

    Maintains grounds and buildings:

    cuts grass, weeds, and brush; trims trees and bushes; Operates and maintains vehicles, equipment and tools required to load, unload, haul, and spread sand, gravel, dirt and/or waste products (sludge, product waste, packaging waste, etc.); Carries or holds materials, supplies, and tools to assist operations and maintenance personnel only when core utility tasks are completed.

    Basic knowledge in the operation and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, farm machinery, pumps and equipment used in and around water and wastewater systems.

    Familiarity with hand and power tools and equipment commonly used in the maintenance of vehicles, equipment, structures, and buildings.


    Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
    ~ Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds from floor to waist level. Must be able to walk up to 3 miles per 8-hour shift.
    Must be able to ascend and descend up to 1,000 steps in an 8-hour shift.
    Must have flexibility to reach, stoop, and bend to work on equipment.
    Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
