    The Role: In the position of Senior Software Engineer within the OSS Big Tent squad, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of open-source plugins that empower Grafana dashboards used by diverse teams globally.

    Your primary focus will be on building new data source plugins, continuously improving existing ones, and ensuring a seamless experience for our users. You will also be responsible for the reliability and performance of these plugins within Grafana Cloud, upholding our commitment to delivering exceptional observability tools.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain data source plugins like Prometheus, Loki, MySQL, and more, integrating third-party services into Grafana.
    • Innovate the plugin system to enhance overall capabilities.
    • Ensure smooth operation and reliability of our plugins in Grafana Cloud.
    • Propose and implement process improvements.
    • Provide technical support for customer escalations.
    • Collaborate closely with other teams within the Grafana division.

    • You have experience with:
      • Backend Technologies: Expertise in Go and familiarity with other backend languages.
      • Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
      • CI/CD and DevOps: Skills in building deployment pipelines and testing strategies.
      • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
      • Front-end Technologies: Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Redux, and RxJS is a bonus.

    Compensation & Benefits: In the US, the salary range for this role is $148,505 - $178,206, with actual compensation depending on experience and skills. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) that align team members with the company's success.
