    Job Summary

    Job Summary

    Job Summary Establishes student eligibility criteria and admission/discharge procedures for students in the Special Education Programs. Performs the work of a school psychologist.

    Coordinates and assists in the implementation of the school site assessment and counseling process in order to enable students with disabilities to derive the fullest possible educational experience.

    May commit Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) resources when acting as administrative designee.

    Qualifications and Education Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Possess or be eligible to possess a valid California Pupil Personnel Service credential or participate in CTC approved intern program authorizing service as a school psychologist Must have passed CBEST Knowledge of rules and regulations for special education programs Has knowledge of current and appropriate assessment tools, counseling techniques, and behavioral and classroom management programs Be able to work cooperatively with support services including all special services and other school personnel Valid California Driver's license Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs the duties of school psychologist for Districts within Modoc County.

    Observes, consults, and assists resource specialists, and special day class teachers to develop and implement IEP's. Coordinates, implements, and interprets assessment program for all students referred to special education programs for Districts within Modoc County. Coordinates site level assessment process to assure legal and timely completion. Provides consultation and assistance to special education and general education staff on student programming needs. Provides short-term Designated Instructional Services counseling to student and consultation to parents to coordinate intervention efforts. Administrative designee at IEP meetings when not serving as school psychologist. and more.

    Comments and Other Information

    $5,000.00 signing bonuse will be divided into two increments. (1) $2,500.00 September 10th (2) $2,500.00 beginning of second year of employment.
