    About Our Client

    This exciting non-profit organization is dedicated to educational efforts, and is home to a small, collaborative HR team. This role reports into the HR Director and will work closely with both their Union and Non-Union employee populations.

    Job Description

  • Manage and administer employee benefits programs for both union and non-union populations, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other fringe benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and other regulatory requirements related to employee benefits.
  • Oversee the end-to-end administration of the organization's 403b retirement plan, including enrollment, contributions, distributions, and audits.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on benefits-related matters, providing guidance and support to HR team members, managers, and employees.
  • Collaborate with the Director of HR to develop, implement, and communicate benefit policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of benefit programs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Partner with external vendors, brokers, and consultants to optimize benefit offerings and ensure competitive pricing and quality services.
  • Assist with employee education and communication initiatives related to benefits, including open enrollment, retirement planning, and wellness initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to employee benefits and share insights with the HR team.

    The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, preferably in a nonprofit, educational or union environment.
  • Strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements and experience navigating union environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the administration of 403b retirement plans, including audits, compliance, and reporting.
  • Experience with benefits-related software and systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with ADP reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or CBP certification is a plus. What's on Offer
