- Maintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems, and related equipment for optimal efficiency.
- Handle emergency, corrective, and routine repairs on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems, and related equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems as scheduled.
- Keep detailed records of all inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems to meet state and federal regulations and local fire marshal standards.
- Maintain EPA Universal Certification and stay informed on current legislation and requirements related to EPA and refrigerant handling laws.
- Be available to work when needed, including evenings, nights, weekends, and in emergencies as directed by superiors.
- Follow shortage programs and procedures.
- Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with diverse customers and peers.
- Resourceful and quick to adapt to changing priorities.
- Self-starter who works well independently and in a team, and can adjust rapidly to changing tasks.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- At least two years of relevant experience. Preferably, strong HVAC system knowledge with EPA certification and license.
- Solid understanding and experience in electrical systems, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and their maintenance.
- Understanding of personnel safety and safety engineering codes.
- May need to support multiple locations and travel between stores/buildings regularly.
- Long periods of standing/walking around the store or department.
- Activities may include reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, color vision, and climbing ladders.
- Frequently lift/move items up to 50lbs.

Job Overview
The Engineer is responsible for maintaining the store's physical structure and equipment in top condition. This includes performing preventative maintenance and handling emergency, corrective, and routine repairs in electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Maintain clear communication with the Chief Engineer and Store Management. Fulfill other assigned duties.
