    Our prestigious global hedge fund client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Kubernetes Engineer to join their dynamic technology team. This is a long-term contract opportunity (2+ years), offering a unique chance to work at the forefront of technology in the finance sector.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on high availability, resilience, and scalability.

    Work extensively with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy and manage Kubernetes environments.

    Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

    Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security best practices.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Kubernetes solutions with existing infrastructure.

    Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

    Stay abreast of emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to complex problems.

    Required Qualifications:

    A minimum of 10 years of experience in Kubernetes engineering.

    Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

    Certified Kubernetes Engineer (CKE) or equivalent certification.

    Proficiency in containerization technologies and orchestration systems.

    Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.

    Solid understanding of network protocols and security best practices.

    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

    Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

    Desirable Skills:

    Experience in the finance sector or working with high-frequency trading systems.
