    ** Intermodal Customer Service Representative**

    **Job Category****:** Customer Support & Service **Requisition Number****:** INTER006029 Showing 1 location Ensure that customer shipments are delivered on time, and empty containers terminated in a timely manner; that all information is entered accurately, completely and in a timely manner.

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS**

    Proactively reviews customer onboarding information for accuracy

    Knows customer contract terms

    Continuously works to eliminate accessorial charges to provide a more seamless customer experience

    Ensures clear dray carrier communication and follow-up regarding on time delivery and timely equipment termination

    Schedule delivery appointments in a timely manner

    Monitor and trace all shipments

    Understands and applies information relating to shipment, shipment status, delivery appointments and additional charges including:

    Customer Terms

    REZ1 Policy

    Celtic International requirements, policies and procedures

    Hazardous Materials Load Process

    High Value Loads Process

    Monitors the system and reports to ensure that all loads are continuously updated with accurate, timely, complete information regarding deliveries

    Ensure carrier performance meets customer and Celtic International expectations.

    Manage Destination Pools

    Participate in Saturday rotation of weekend coverage.

    **KNOWLEDGE, EXPERTISE, SKILLS:**

    Intermediate Personal Computer Skills, including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

    Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers, clients, coworkers and managers.

    Provide necessary updates and support in a friendly, professional manner using the appropriate medium e.g. phone or email depending on the circumstance.

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions

    Understanding of mileage as it relates to the passage of time. The ability to convert standard time to military time and to convert time based on the various time zones within the Continental U.S. and Canada as required. General knowledge of the locations of the 48 continental states and Canada as required. Ability to use the postal zip code to locate the corresponding region of the country.

    Customer Service skills including the ability to recognize the needs of the customer and effectively address those needs through active solution or communication of the need to the appropriate personnel.

    Ability to multi-task

    Must know when to escalate issues to management

    Ability to work both in a team environment and independently

    Must be detail-oriented and organized

    **EDUCATION**

    High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
