    Position: Data Engineer

    Location: Basking Ridge, NJ (twice a week onsite)

    Duration: 12+ Months (Extendable)

    Description:

    The Data Engineer will work in R&D Excellence MARS Team (Metrics, Analytics, Reporting & Solutions) to develop foundational data capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating data sets from wide variety of sources, developing, and managing data integration processes. The candidate will work closely with Daiichi project leads and research scientists to design, develop and deliver data integration solutions. This is a pure hands-on role, and we are looking for a technically sharp candidate who can independently code, build and test. Experience with ETL Integration Tools, AWS Services is a must.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Design, Implement and support Data Models, Integration processes that provide timely access to large datasets.
    • Build fault tolerant, self-healing, adaptive and highly accurate ETL jobs.
    • Develop Data Integrations in Data Lakes Platform using ETL Tools, Data Cleansing functions etc.
    • Develop design documentation, Installation Guides and Release Notes for all development efforts.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
    • 5+ years experience in Informatica Developer using disparate data sources such as flat files, databases, xml files and/or unstructured data & web services.
    • 5 + years experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, Red Shift etc.)
    • Strong in Unix shell scripting
    • 5+ years Experience in Pharmaceutical industry - Experience with Clinical Trials Data is strongly preferred.
    • Experience working with system like Veeva Vault, RAVE EDC , CTMS is a big plus.
    • Extensive experience with data modeling for analytical applications
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
    • Ability to work independently and as a key contributor in a distributed team environment.
    • Experience in building Validated Integrations is as big plus.
