Breast Imaging Fellow - Winston Salem, United States - Atrium Health
Description
OverviewThis is a 1-year position for an Assistant Instructor (non-ACGME fellow) for Breast Imaging/Mammography.
There will be initial one-on-one oversight by senior section members for breast imaging examinations, after which they will progress to independent clinical work in breast imaging while maintaining the ability to seek senior level consultations.
Their clinical work will include interpretive responsibilities for screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds and breast MRIs.In addition, they will become proficient in performing multiple minimally invasive procedures, including needle localizations using mammographic and ultrasound guidance as well as breast biopsies utilizing stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI guidance.
They will participate in the Breast Imaging Section's call pool rotation, which includes weekday as well as weekend call to provide interpretative services for breast imaging.
Active North Carolina Medical License (or eligibility) required.
