    Job Description Job Description What you'll do:Establish a sequence of operations to machine, fabricate, and assemble parts or productsReview engineering specifications and related information to determine manufacturing processes, procedures, and activitiesCreates, maintains, and approves manufacturing B.O.M.'s, process routings, and end-of-line testing proceduresDesigns, coordinates fabrication, and implements process fixturing, testing and/or gagingTroubleshoot processes and solve problems with electrical/mechanical components to ensure continuous productionImplement process improvements to achieve manufacturing excellence in areas such as process yield (i.e.

    First Pass Yield, Earned Hours, Machine Uptime, etc.), cycle time reduction, and productivityQualify production processes based on dimensional data (SPC), control plans, and PFMEAsEstimate production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management review, action, and dispositionECO/ECN initiation, processing, and review/approvalIdentifies, selects, and provides justification for capital equipmentOversees equipment installation, modification, training, and preventative maintenance developmentTroubleshoots process issues and develops improvement plans to prevent reoccurrence of root cause failure modesContinuously improve reliability metrics and utilize SQDC metrics to recommend innovative solutions based on data-driven analysisDesign tooling, fixtures, and automated systems to manufacture products at the lowest cost and shortest cycle timeResponsible for the implementation of key elements of Lean, such as: standard work, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and 5SLeads problem solving activities using Lean tools to determine root cause and corrective action plansResponsible to assist with investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for manufacturing quality issuesRecommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, equipment, etc.

    Work with suppliers, customers, and quality to understand the root cause of failures, propose process and design changes, and implement and validate proposed modifications through problem solving techniques and other Lean toolsResponsible for plant layout and cell layout design implementations and improvementsCollaborate with all cross-functional team members to understand challenges and utilize feedback supported by data to improve manufacturing operationsInitiates and completes technical activities leading to new or improved products or processes for current and next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the companyPerforms other duties as neededWhat you'll need:BS/MS in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred)3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting including machining, electrical assembly, and mechanical assemblyCAD software experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, Unigraphics, or equivalentProficient with MS OfficeLean manufacturing training (certification a plus)Excellent communication and influencing skillsAbility to be self-managed and motivated and motivate others to drive resultsDetail oriented; checks own work, keeps accurate records, and organizes information effectivelyWe are seeking a talented and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer with a proven track record of implementing best-in-class processes within a complex manufacturing environment.

    This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is an integral member of the Manufacturing team. You will work cross-functionally to implement manufacturing improvements and drive data-driven root cause solutions to technical problems.
