    About the Employer

    Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. It is divided into three divisions: Business Services, Educational Services and Human Resources. An Associate Superintendent oversees each division and a variety of programs, such as Child Development, Child Welfare & Attendance, Special Education, Nutrition Services and Transportation.

    Modesto City Schools also offers a Beginning Teachers Support and Assessment Program (BTSA) with a state approved Induction Curriculum by which new teachers attain their Professional Clear Credential.     Requirements / Qualifications

    Verification of Special Education Credential and Valid California Administrative Credential required.

    Three (3) years successful teaching experience in Special Education.
    • Credential Copy (A valid California Teaching and Administrative credential. Credential must show expiration date and subject description. "Suitable for framing" versions and expired copies of your credential will not be accepted. )
