    Position Title: Professor

    Job Description:

    The Division of Behavioral Services, Research and Policy in the Department of Psychiatry at the Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a full-time Professor to conduct research on health services and the history of psychiatry.

    Responsibilities for this position include:

    • Oversee the review, organization and rendering of historical medical records for patients treated in the NYS Mental Hospital System for reference and utilization for scholarly and research purposes.
    • Conduct research on the intersection of mental health and criminal justice systems.
    • Conduct research on homelessness and serious mental illness.
    • Teach medical students, graduate students, postdoctoral residents, and fellows.
    • Provide clinical care

    Minimum Degree required: MD & PhD

    Qualifications:

    • MD & PhD from Accredited Institution.
    • Clinical training in psychiatry and research experience in behavioral health services and the history of psychiatry
    • New York State License
    • Active DEA license
    • Board Certified
    • Professor level requires national reputation evidenced by peer referees.
