    Our client, a privately held Specialty Chemical manufacturing company that makes additive powders that gives formulators the tools they need to enhance performance in paints, coatings, inks, personal care products, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and agro-chemicals which enrich your everyday life, from the wall paint that is easier for you to clean, to the natural shower scrubs that cleanse and refresh your skin. Our client is seeking their Controller who will also oversee their Finance function. The Company was established in 1950.The Controller will be responsible for a variety of duties that includes:
    • Manage all facets of the accounting department including Payables. Receivables, Billing, Purchasing, and Treasury.
    • Supervision of month end close, account reconciliations, and Financial Reporting and statement accuracy.
    • GAAP
    • General Ledger
    • Financial Analysis
    • Budgeting and annual audit review.
    • Profit and loss reports.
    • Tax Compliance
    • Oversee all aspects of the general ledger and fixed assets.
    • Manage insurance renewal process and legal matters.
    Requirements:
    • 8+ years Manufacturing Controller experience
    • Treasury management experience is a plus
    • Strong experience with ERP systems and SAGE accounting software
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
    • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
    • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve efficiency, and maximize profitability within the manufacturing processes.
    • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliation of accounts, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
    • Lead the development and execution of internal financial reporting processes and cash flow projections, ensuring accurate and timely insights to support strategic decision-making.
    • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional development within the finance team.
    • Two Direct Reports
    Qualifications:
    • Manufacturing experience is a must.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
    • Certified Public Accountant CPA/MBA is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of global banking processes and financial data analysis.
    • Must be Tech savvy.
