    NASK is seeking an experienced GEOINT Scientist in Beavercreek, Ohio to fill a key role supporting the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC)
    In this position, you will work closely with researchers, analysts, system developers, and Government subject matter experts on state-of-the-art GEOINT sensors, models, and algorithms to answer critical intelligence questions

    In this role, you will:

    • Participate in exciting, cutting edge work developing physical models and advanced algorithms for enhancement and exploitation GEOINT information from a variety of sensors
    Work includes extracting and manipulating large data sets

    End products include realistic prediction of events and phenomenology, estimates of spatial, spectral, and temporal signatures, or detection, classification, and/or identification of features.


    • Work with a highly-skilled team of experienced leaders and technical experts and collaborate with other teams across the intelligence community
    • Work independently and with diverse teams, develop ideas considering customer needs, carry through phases of development from initial physical equations of phenomenology to demonstration pseudo-code to fully documented and tested large scale scientific software.
    • Help write proposals and solicits funding as needed.
    • Apply knowledge of GEOINT sensor phenomenologies, hyperspectral imaging, multispectral imaging, radiative transfer phenomena, spectral image processing methods, and data science techniques
    • Apply your experience with identifying and developing novel approaches
    • Demonstrate proficiency in modern methods of mathematical modeling of physical phenomena
    • Experience programming in MATLAB, C/C++, and/or Python
    Demonstration of strong self-motivation and ability to work independently Required Qualifications:


    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work
    • Experience should include the development of fundamental physical models, data analysis algorithms, and/or sensor concepts involving geospatial remote sensing for national security customers
    • A PhD degree in the physical sciences (physics, atmospheric sciences, image science, etc.) or engineering (electrical, aerospace, etc.)
    A strong track record of written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills Preferred Qualifications:


    • Experience in GEOINT data mining, statistics, machine learning
