    Description

    Vaco Boston has partnered with a rapidly growing Boston-based real estate investment firm that is seeking to hire a Property Accountant. This individual will be responsible for property level reporting for a number of a certain portfolio of properties. The position reports to the Accounting Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform month-end close process for a portfolio of properties
    • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts for the assigned portfolio
    • Prepare monthly financial packages for distribution to property managers and asset managers
    • Monitor accounts receivables and cash receipts
    • Assist with debt compliance monitoring and lender reporting on a regular basis
    • Work with asset managers and property managers to review annual budgets and quarterly reforecast
    • Assist with the annual audit preparation for various entities
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • Yardi accounting software experience highly preferred
    • 1-2+ years of accounting experience in real estate
    • Proficiency in Excel a plus
    • Prior knowledge of development accounting a plus
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
    • Individual must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
