    Department Summary
    The Department of Physiology and Anatomy is home to researchers with a wide variety of interests and approaches. On the Physiology side, the Department is truly integrative as all faculty are engaged in interdisciplinary studies that span molecular, cellular, systems and behavioral sciences, with strong traditions of excellence in the study of cardiovascular, renal and neural-humoral control systems. The research activities of many of our faculty and graduate students involve studies of normal physiology such as exercise and travel to altitude as well as pathophysiological states such as heart failure, hypertension, cardiopulmonary bypass surgery, diabetes, obesity and sleep apnea. On the anatomy side, current anatomy faculty in the Center for Anatomical Sciences have teaching and research backgrounds in anatomy, histology, embryology, biological anthropology, evolutionary biology, education science, and K-12 science outreach.     Position Summary
    The Center for Anatomical Sciences in the Department of Physiology and Anatomy at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth, TX invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position in biomechanics or clinical anatomy. We seek an outstanding, broadly trained anatomist whose research program has strengths in biomechanics, clinical anatomy, medical device development, medical imaging (especially Fluoroscopy and CT), and/or orthopedic surgical techniques.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • PhD or equivalent degree


    Preferred Qualifications
    • Active record of research and scholarship
    • History/potential of obtaining external funding
    • Capacity to attract and mentor MS/PhD students in the Structural Anatomy Program
    • Ability to teach dissection-based human gross anatomy to medical, physical therapy, physician assistant, and/or graduate students


    Required License / Registration / Certification
