    The position of Distribution Center Manager will be based out of Garden Grove, CA


    Summary

    The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for, but not limited to, directing the daily activities of the Distribution Center, including managing staff and proper use of equipment, manpower, and the overall Distribution Center results. Responsible for annual budgeting, planning, and implementing operational initiatives, sales growth strategies, facility and equipment maintenance, safety, and security.

    For the state of California only, the pay range is $120,000 to $135,000, depending upon qualifications, experience and other considerations permitted by law.

    What You'll Do

    • Must behave consistently with the Company's Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures, guidelines, and focus on safety
    • Create and manage operational procedures to improve the efficiency of the DC. Ensures Distribution Center personnel are following policies, procedures, and guidelines
    • Participate in all aspects of hiring new employees. Recruit, train, assign, and direct work. Complete performance reviews, and disciplines and/or address complaints and resolves employee issues
    • Foster a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Assume responsibility for the overall safety of personnel, company assets, material handling equipment, and the surrounding environment
    • Manage annual budgeting, planning, and implementing operational initiatives, and sales growth strategies
    • Manage the functions of departments in an orderly manner to achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy and productivity
    • Delegate operational duties to Assistant Manager and Supervisors
    • Maintain a cohesive work environment among employees and shifts in the Distribution Center
    • May fill in for various Distribution Center roles
    • Other duties as assigned

    What You'll Need

    • High School or GED
    • 4+ years of management experience at a Distribution Center, Warehouse, or equivalent
    • Certified to operate all material handling equipment: forklift, Stand-Up Rider pallet Jack, Electric Reach Truck, and High-Reach Narrow-Aisle

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal and presentation skills are required
    • Knowledge and experience with Distribution Center material handling, inventory management, and transportation management required
    • Ability to perform short and long-range planning
    • Must be service oriented, self-motivated, dependable, possess excellent leadership skills, and customer service skills
    • Ability to perform various tasks on computers, including the use of Excel, Outlook, and Word is required
    • Proficiency in all aspects of the Distribution Center Management Software (WMS) or other systems in use at Distribution Centers
    • Ability to travel as needed
    • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
