    Pave Talent is hiring a full-time Maintenance & Engineering Manager for our client, a global innovator of advanced specialty chemical solutions. This role offers a 9/80 work schedule allowing you to have every other Friday off. This position also offers a relocation bonus if you're open to relocating to the area.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintenance Management (60-70% of time)

    • Lead and manage a team of 18 people, including 12 maintenance technicians, supervisors, a planner, and a scheduler
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve preventive maintenance performance and reduce unplanned work
    • Manage and prioritize the maintenance backlog to ensure critical tasks are completed efficiently
    • Optimize maintenance scheduling to maximize resource utilization and minimize production disruptions
    • Ensure compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and other safety and environmental regulations
    • Utilize SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order tracking and scheduling
    • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as ASME and API, for inspection requirements of piping and vessels
    • Provide hands-on support for maintenance initiatives as needed

    Engineering & Capital Projects (30-40% of time)

    • Manage a team of engineers, including a reliability engineer, two project engineers, and a drafter
    • Oversee the capital projects process, including budgeting, planning, and execution
    • Coordinate with external project managers on large-scale capital projects as needed
    • Prepare annual capital budget and manage project costs to ensure they remain within allocated funds
    • Provide engineering support for plant expansions, upgrades, and process improvements
    • Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency

    Equipment:

    The McIntosh site primarily utilizes batch operation equipment, including:

    • Reactor vessels
    • Pressure vessels
    • Distillation columns
    • Evaporators
    • Storage vessels and tanks

    Qualifications:

    • Five years of experience in maintenance and engineering roles within the chemical industry
    • Strong background in chemical plant equipment and processes
    • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams
    • Project management experience with a track record of successful project delivery
    • Experience with CMMS software
    • Knowledge of PSM, OSHA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations
    • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on optimizing processes and driving efficiencies

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field
    • Experience using SAP

    Reporting Structure:

    • Direct reports: 5-6 individuals
    • Total team size: 18 people (including 12 maintenance technicians, supervisors, a planner, and a scheduler)

    Schedule:

    • Monday through Thursday, 9-hour shifts with every other Friday off

    Compensation:

    • Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year, potentially hire depending on experience
    • 10% annual bonus
