    Description

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to provide administrative and budgetary support to principal investigators and manage the coordination of program development activities for the School of Medicine. The successful candidate will have experience with NIH submissions, advanced knowledge of relevant regulations, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive analysis of funding mechanisms and awards
    • Oversee pre-award initiatives and review proposals for institutional compliance
    • Submit complex proposals and assess and resolve contract and grants issues
    • Participate in operational planning and training activities

    Collaboration and Communication:

    The customer audience includes a complement of SOM units, collegial collaborators, external business partners, and community-based organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating effectively with these stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and continuity.

    Requirements:

    • Advanced knowledge of relevant regulations and requirements
    • Experience with NIH submissions
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

    Work Environment:

    This role requires working closely with various stakeholders, including principal investigators, research teams, and external partners. The successful candidate will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements.
