    The Opportunity:

    We are seeking a qualified Prospect Research Analyst II to join our dynamic team within our Advancement & Partnerships division. This role will work closely with the Sr. Director for Advancement, Prospect Development, and other Prospect Development (PD) staff to provide professional prospect development research and information services to drive our fundraising objectives. As a key member of the PD, the Prospect Research Analyst II will be responsible for prospect identification and research, managing database screening initiatives, querying, reporting, and analysis.

    Responsibilities:

    • Respond to a broad spectrum of high priority and ad hoc research requests.
    • Working in partnership with the prospect development team, development officers, senior Foundation management, and outside consultants to affect a coordinated approach to the prospect development process.
    • Develop and execute data analysis projects and fundraising segmentation strategies to support principal, major, and annual gift fund programs utilizing donor database queries and other UCF Advancement resources.
    • Manage procedures in researching, developing, assigning, and maintaining a variety of prospect ratings with vendors and internal partners to support prospect pool identification.
    • Conduct detailed biographical business and financial research on alumni, individuals, corporations, and foundations using subscription and online databases, in-house files, library references, and other resources.
    • Creating narrative reports, profiles, prospect alerts, charts, graphs, and other illustrations and recording demographic and biographical information in the database.
    • Assist in managing the Prospect Research Request queue in UCF Advancement's donor database and collaborate with information technology staff to develop and maintain prospect development reporting strategies through the donor database and Tableau platforms.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience in prospect research.
    • Experience working within a higher education or nonprofit environment.
    • Proficiency in utilizing donor databases and data visualization tools.
    • Working knowledge of querying tools; experience working in CRM databases.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with subscription and online databases commonly used in prospect research.
    • Understanding of fundraising principles and practices.
    • Experience working collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
