    Description

    We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our client's team on a part-time basis. The PMHNP will have a vital role in conducting psychiatric assessments, managing medications, and providing therapeutic interventions to a diverse client base. This position provides the chance to collaborate with a team of mental health professionals in a supportive and inclusive setting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions and create personalized treatment plans.
    • Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, including monitoring effectiveness, side effects, and potential interactions.
    • Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families on mental health diagnoses, medications, and available treatment options.
    • Work closely with therapists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
    • Accurately document clinical encounters in a timely manner as per organizational policies and regulatory standards.
    • Engage in clinical case reviews, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical expertise.

    Requirements:

    • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing specialized in psychiatric-mental health nursing.
    • Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and an unrestricted NY practice license.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in delivering psychiatric care to individuals of all ages, preferably in an outpatient environment.
    • Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities, with the skill to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a dedication to cultural competence and sensitivity.

    Kindly note that the annual base salary range is from $85/hr to $110/hr. The final compensation offered may vary based on location, experience, education, skill level, and other factors. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be provided upon offer.
