OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Marketing Creative Writer, you will put your creativity and strong writing skills to work across a variety of forms and media, from articles and white papers to ad copy and social posts.

This team works to tell the Fastenal story and drive communication through compelling writing. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Developing content marketing and thought leadership
o Creating engaging content for social media campaigns
o Writing articles for internal and external publications
o Generating ad copy
o Developing case studies and white papers
o Generating engaging web content
o Assisting with internal company communication
o Writing content for special projects
o Providing creative energy and vision for every project


REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Possess or working towards a degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications OR possess 3 years of professional writing experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
o Work independently as well as in a team environment
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)


PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Knowledge of AP writing style
