    Responsibilities

    4Creeks is seeking a Structural Engineer to work under the direction of a Department Manager on our Structural team. This position requires collaboration with architects, other engineers, contractors, and

    technicians while developing the project documents required for client needs and in compliance with

    jurisdictional building codes.

    Responsibilities for this position would include:
    Work as a project manager for department projects or discipline lead for multidiscipline projects

    Analyze project goals and develop plans for building system design

    Prepare structural calculations for vertical and lateral load designs

    Develop structural plan sets for client submittal

    Coordinate with drafting staff and review plans for completeness, and accuracy

    Provide mentorship or review of junior engineers as required

    Perform field visits and prepare technical reports for various structural assessments

    Review shop drawings and provide feedback to colleagues

    Have a working knowledge of various material designs such a timber, structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, etc.

    Oversee project management, like tracking budgets and maintaining a database of projects and their progress

    Manage time efficiently to meet project budgets and deadlines

    Work closely with other company departments

    This position will be primarily office work with occasional site visits as necessary. Field work will be at project sites and are typically within a 50-mile radius of Visalia, but may occasionally require out-of-

    town travel or extended stays.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • The position requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural Emphasis), Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
    • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
    • Candidate must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California or in another state with the ability to become licensed in California within 6 months of hire.
    • The ideal candidate will have working knowledge in the preparation of plans, knowledge of engineering design for various types of projects, excellent time management skills and
    exceptional written and oral communication skills.


    • Experience using AutoCAD (version 2019 or higher) is required.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel is required.
    • Experience with structural modeling and analysis software (such as RISA and Enercalc).
    Compensation

    The hourly rate will be determined by candidates skill and experience level and highly competitive with industry standards. Benefits package includes full employee health coverage (50% coverage for

    dependents), company 401(k) contribution, performance bonuses, and participation in 100% Employee

    Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The expected pay range for this position is $36 - $48/hr.
