We are looking for a reliable, motivated part-time employee that possesses strong communication skills, customer service abilities and attention to detail.

This opportunity will provide the right candidate with an exceptional opportunity to supplement their knowledge with IT experience in a highly collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to the company with troubleshooting of software and hardware problems
Maintain stability of network and computer systems, and fix problems as they arise.
Minimize system downtime through routine and emergency maintenance
Resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner.
Judiciously escalate problems to the appropriate staff.
Help the company employees maximize their use of applications and equipment.
Continuously look for ways to fix issues that others are having.
Analyze and test systems to ensure that they are meeting current business needs.
Install and upgrade hardware and software as directed.
Educate other departments to eliminate issues and solve their own problems.
Assist other members of the IT department with projects.
Offer support to technical projects throughout the company as time allows.
Maintain inventory and knowledgebase systems up to date.
Assist in developing and improving user interfaces for internal and web-based programs


Requirements:
In-depth understanding of PC hardware and software required
Knowledge of networking technologies (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, etc) required
Analytical and troubleshooting skills required
Knowledge of VMware and HyperV configuration a plus
Experience in web design and programming languages like PHP, CSS, JavaScript, HTML and XML preferred
Experience using relational databases like MSSQL and MySQL preferred
IT degree track preferred
