    Position Details

    The OSP Director of Construction plays a vital role in Tilson's leadership team, overseeing Tilson's internal horizontal direction drilling and micro trenching teams. Key areas of focus include:

  • Coaching and mentoring leaders and building high-functioning teams.

  • Supporting daily operations and project execution.

  • Financial management and planning at the divisional and large program level.

  • Visionary management of business process and systems evolution.

  • Culture and safety standard bearer for Tilson.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Take safety leadership for zero workplace injuries with assistance from the Safety Director peer.

  • Set and drive the safety culture to ensure we are meeting all safety requirements.

  • Hire, lead, coach and develop the directional drill and micro trenching team to ensure our crews are structured to meet safety and production expectations.

  • Drive and meet our daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly production targets.

  • Manage our internal crew KPI's to ensure we are maintaining or improving on our cost per foot metrics.

  • Develop construction best practices methods and procedures.

    • Qualifications:

  • Substantial team leadership experience and strong interest in developing leaders.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a construction management role.

  • Comfort with office tools and automation- Tilson has a modern, paperless, cloud-based system environment and comfort learning and using systems are a must.

  • Substantial experience understanding, leading and managing outside plant construction safety.

  • 5 years' minimum experience with managing costs around internal crews.

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.

    • Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson's driving eligibility requirements.

    Tilson leads with integrity around pay transparency; as part of the compensation plan for this position you can expect a pay range of:

    $130,000.00 - $170,000.00
