A prestigious hospital located in Hollywood seeks a Senior HR Business Partner to join its team.
Direct Hire/Permanent Position
As a Senior HR Business Partner with a focus on Labor Relations within our organization, your role will be pivotal in nurturing robust, efficient, and cohesive labor relations across all tiers of our workforce.
Your deep understanding of labor laws, collective bargaining, conflict resolution, and employee engagement will ensure that our labor relations strategies not only uphold our organizational objectives but also cultivate a supportive work environment.
Acting as a liaison between management and employees, you will champion fair and just solutions that honor the rights and interests of all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and assess labor relations strategies that are in line with the company's objectives, ethos, and principles.
Lead negotiations with labor unions, encompassing proposal drafting, genuine bargaining, and the finalization of collective bargaining agreements.
Offer expert guidance and mentorship to management regarding labor relations matters, including union contract interpretation, grievance management, and conflict resolution.
Conduct comprehensive investigations into labor disputes, grievances, and related issues, ensuring equitable treatment of all parties in accordance with legal and contractual obligations.
Conduct training sessions for both managers and employees on various labor relations topics, such as effective communication, negotiation techniques, and labor law comprehension.
Remain abreast of developments in labor legislation and trends in labor relations, providing proactive advice to the organization on potential implications and strategies.
Cultivate a positive labor relations environment by promoting transparent communication, mutual respect, and collaborative problem-solving among employees, unions, and management.
Participate in the development of HR policies and practices that support employee engagement, performance management, and organizational effectiveness, ensuring they are consistent with labor agreements.
Other duties as assigned.Minimum Education(Indicate minimum education or degree required.)
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
Master's Degree in organizational development, organizational behavior, or related field preferred
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in acute healthcare as an HRBP Labor Relations
Proven experience in labor relations and employee advocacy in a healthcare environment
Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations and healthcare compliance
Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to build effective relationships with employees, management and labor unions
Proficiency in ADP and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing
Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation(List any licensure or certification required and specify name of agency.)
City of Los Angeles Hospital Fire Card, due within 30 days of hire.
